At full council meeting on 16th Jan Conservative councillors had to admit that the auditors had expressed several concerns about the Council’s financial arrangements. A list of 86 corrections that had to be made to the accounts was circulated including one adjustment of over 13 million pounds.
Cllr Lloyd Harris said “the total of the adjustments was so large that there wasn’t enough room on my calculator to add them all up!”. “This goes to show that the Liberal Democrats were justified in not supporting the accounts when they were first presented to Council in July last year, as they were clearly not fit for purpose”
